Our Parents
At GIS, we value strong home-school partnerships, recognising their role in helping every student reach their potential. Our diverse parent community is actively involved in school life, from leading community service projects to sharing expertise in workshops, creating a culture of shared learning.
We host an array of activities and events, and offer a great deal of support to our parents at GIS.
Our Parents, Teachers and Friends (PTF) Committee is at the heart of our community. Led by dedicated parent volunteers, they foster connection, support new families through buddy programmes, and bring the school to life with meaningful initiatives, cultural events and parent experiences.
Weekly parent workshops feature a wide range of speakers and topics, from supporting your child’s learning to exploring the latest scientific research. These sessions are highly attended and provide an excellent opportunity for our parent community to connect and learn together.
Our extensive Buddy Programme and Country Reps Network provide new GIS families with friendship, support, and guidance on school and community matters.
We embrace our diversity by celebrating a wide range of cultural events and activities, ensuring there is always something engaging to participate in.
